New and Upcoming Cars You Should Know About

For automobile enthusiasts, now is an exciting time! Each year, automotive shows introduce new vehicle technology, futuristic concept vehicles and new versions of classic vehicles. From all-electric rides to track-ready racing machines, the auto industry is booming with innovation. Here are a few of the most exciting new and upcoming cars!

2020 Ford Bronco

Set to return in 2020, the Ford Bronco is a legendary member of the auto maker’s stable. For over 30 years, it was a shining example of what a powerful, off-road SUV could be, and the new version is set to pick up where the old one left off.

In 1996, the last Ford Bronco rolled out of the factory, being replaced by the Ford Expedition. The Bronco was a muscular, truck-based SUV that could handle anything thrown its way, thanks to its four-wheel-drive system and V8 engine. The Bronco competed with the Jeep CJ at off-roading and did a great job of it.

Early in 2019, Ford officially announced the return of its rugged off-roader, and the new Bronco is scheduled to be released in 2020. While Ford has yet to release official pictures, specs or prices, credible rumors are making their rounds of what models will be released, including MotorTrend’s report that said a smaller, Ford Escape-inspired version will also be made.

2020 Toyota GR Supra

The Toyota Supra gained a loyal following and widespread popularity through its initial production. The fourth-generation Supra was the most popular and sought after, with its aerodynamic body, large spoiler and roaring twin-turbocharged engine that made well over 300 horsepower. However, production for the Supra ended in 2002, and for nearly two decades, Toyota did not make a car that came close to the Supra in terms of performance or popularity.

In January 2019, the Supra returned, back and better than before. Engineered in partnership with BMW, the 2020 Toyota GR Supra makes 335 horsepower and 365 lb-ft. of torque, thanks to a 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six engine, producing a blazing fast 4.1-second 0-60 time. With a refined interior, optimal weight distribution and Brembo® brakes, the 2020 GR Supra is ready to inspire a new generation of drivers.

Volkswagen I.D. Buzz Concept

Volkswagen is renowned for its exceptional engineering and unmistakable designs, and the ID. Buzz Concept is no exception. With the German manufacturer’s plans to eventually go completely electric, the I.D. BUZZ is an exciting look at both the future of VW and driving. Taking its styling inspiration from the Microbus, the I.D. BUZZ, is expected to hit showrooms in 2022. It will feature a fully-electric powertrain with a 369-horsepower electric motor, cavernous interior, reconfigurable seating options and controls and design elements that look like they belong in a spaceship. Expect the I.D. Buzz to turn heads wherever it goes.
