2020 Nissan Rogue: The Reliable Compact SUV

Consumer reports are like report cards for cars. And, according to the latest consumer reports, the 2020 Rogue is acing it so far.

Trims

The 2020 Nissan Rogue is available in three trim levels- S, SV and SL. While FWD (Front Wheel Drive) is standard, drivers have the option to turn any trim level into an AWD (All Wheel Drive) if they wish. At its price, the Rogue’s competition consists of the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, Mazda CX 5, Ford Escape, and Chevrolet Equinox.

Engine Options

All Rogue trims are fitted with a 2.5-liter, naturally aspirated I-4 engine, producing 170 horsepower and 175 pounds-per-foot of torque. Nissan does not offer a hybrid power-train with this vehicle. The engine is paired with a XTronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), and travels from 0-60 in 8.8 seconds. Different suspension setups at the front and rear provide a comfortable ride for everyone in the car.

Exterior Aesthetics

The Rogue has a familiar look due to Nissan’s signature V-Motion front grille. While LED headlights are optional on the SL, LED daytime running lights are part of standard equipment on all trims.

The SV and SL trims of the 2020 Nissan Rogue have silver roof rails, as well as rear privacy glass windows. What’s more, the SV and SL trims also get integrated LED turn indicators. The SV and SL trims boast 17-inch alloy wheels, while a 19-inch option is also available on the SL. Body colored, power adjustable side mirrors have been made available across all trims.
